Here we go!! Football season has begun. Mikey decided that he wanted to play football. Of course first he had to ask his mom why in the world she would want him to play football. Doesn't she know that you can break your leg or get really hurt playing that sport. So of course I immediately told him he probably should just stick to basketball so what does he do, he comes home from school the next day excited about football??? I wonder if this is the start of the dreaded teenager years. I really DO NOT look forward to that but so far the football season has gone well. For Mikey's first game I had a hard time getting him to eat breakfast. He said that you could not weigh over 110 lbs. or you didn't get to carry the football. I asked him how much he weighed at practice and was informed he was a whopping 98 lbs. When I told him he probably wouldn't gain 12 lbs. in a week he looked shocked and said, "Mom you just don't know how many calories are in a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice. And I gain weight fast, really fast." O.K. ??!!! I thought we wouldn't ever have to worry about our boys being worried about their weight. Of course after the football game he made up for it. All we heard from him was how hungry he was (actually starving) and how many calories he burned out there. We got a few pictures of Mikey dressed up in his football gear. I honestly did not know which player he was and saw the wisdom in big numbers on jerseys. I can't believe how big he looks when he puts his uniform on and it scares me how fast these beautiful children are growing up. Every year seems to zoom by.

Good job with the blogging!!!! Now you just need to let people know about it. Mikey is so funny, I can't believe he's old enough to play football. Sounds like he got the whole weigh in thing from the fair..... he he
It's nice to see how you guys are doing a little more often than our phone conversations. Great Job! And the pictures help with the documenting of events. - LaRae
I can't belive how your kids are growing up, also! I was thinking of that just the other day when I was talking to Shayla. She's such a second grader now. I miss her. At least I have Logan to keep me in stitches. How do your kids have the most positive attiudes in life?!
