Logans Field trip

Logan went to the Lode farm to watch sheep sheering and feed the calfs and then had a hay ride to the Price farm where they got to ride horses, watch cows get branded, and explore all the farm equipment. Joel Price said usually the kids can't find the horns on the big tractors but of course LOGAN found every horn and shifted all the gears. Luckily he didn't find the keys!!!

Yes--I'm finally blogging again. I've had a crazy last couple of months but am doing really good now. The kids are excited for spring. Of course the wonderful sunshine fools us all when we walk outside to the bitter cold wind!!!! My kids want to wear shorts but after stepping outside realize it still feels like winter. I'm excited to have the sun out again though. It's wonderful to hear the birds singing and see the tractors out plowing the fields. I have to get my camera back from my dear husband who decided he needed to use it for work. (My cute kid's pictures have been replaced with not so cute sewer lines!!!)

Christmas 2008

We had everyone here for Christmas this year!!! It was a little bit of a challenge to get everyone together for a picture and to try and get everyone looking at the camera but we did it--sorta. We tried this year to have a schedule and post it on the door at mom's house which worked better than most years except that Michael and I were in our own home and didn't always have the schedule in front of us. We learned a lot and had fun playing basketball, and visiting with family. Michael and I did decide that our family is going to have to make our own traditions and start inviting mom and dad to join us instead of sitting around wondering what the plan is and feeling really kaotic. We had kids get sick after Christmas but they were all healthy on Christmas Day--(which I think is a first!!!) We loved focusing on Christ more this year and want to try and have less getting and more giving next year too!!! We're sorry we didn't get any Christmas cards this year, or any gifts for our friends and ward family but we do love everyone and hope they all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

My new hair do????

I braved the beauty shop and put my trust in the haircutter's hands!!! Scary. I am starting to like the hair do better now although I'm still not sure. (I am talking about my hair not my cute daughter's do.)

"Santa please bring me. . . . . . . "

anything I can eat with braces on. Yep, Mikey got his long awaited braces last Wednesday on his top teeth. He'll be getting his bottom ones on in 6 weeks!! Anyone that lives in Idaho and has a child that needs braces let me know. We know of a great program that helps kids who don't have dental insurance but don't qualify for the CHIP program.

I want some warm gloves to keep my hands warm and a Wee.

I want a stuffed animal husky that has a curly tail!!

I want a stuffed animal husky that has a curly tail!! (Anybody seen a stuffed husky at the stores???)

Just give me the candy cane and let me go to my mommy!!

My mommy oh and some candy too.

A real Rollercoaster!!! That would be FUN!!!

Happy Birthday Shayla

Shayla turned 8 years old December 1. It was the year for a "friend" birthday party. I actually didn't have to do very much because Shayla wanted to plan it out herself. We rented the fun jumper thing from the school. The kids loved it, especially since the sun was shining and it was about 60 degrees outside for awhile. I just kept thinking how crazy it was that we could even have this jumper outside in December. Shayla had a treasure hunt planned, pin the tail on the donkey and then stick the horn on the unicorn. She had her pet shop stuff out for everyone to play with and just enjoyed everyone who came. It was lots of fun!!!

Shayla's friend and her made their own creative pet shop pictures with stickers. The other kids were outside jumping on the Jumper.

11 wonderful/hard/exciting/tearfilled/fun YEARS

I can't believe that tomorrow will mark 11 years of marriage for Michael and I. In fact 11 years from tonight we were sitting in the Peterson's driveway with little Georgie asleep in the back of the car talking about the big day. I was nervous and getting the jitters and telling Michael that I felt like just driving away from it all. (We had had a very short engagement, lots of trying times, and I felt like I was in a whirlwind!!) The next morning it started to rain, mom was late getting me to the temple for yes my wedding day (no surprise there), and the tears were coming. I prayed hoping I was making the right choice, the sun came out, I entered the temple and felt an overwhelming peace. (Of course Michael had been telling his dad for the last 15 minutes that I was not going to show up and was sweating like crazy.) Anyways the day turned out great, the honeymoon--we won't go into details but I did have a close to honeymoon baby, and now I truly can't imagine my life with anybody else or anyway else. I feel so blessed to have met Michael and to have been able to share these past 11 years. We have cried together a lot, helped strengthen each other a lot, suffered sickness still, had 5 children together, made it through a lot of hard times but enjoyed even more good times!!! I didn't get my dear husband anything worldly for our anniversary (like the paintball gun) but am posting these 11 things that I love about him (of course there are so many more!!)

1) He always wants to make me happy and is always trying to get me to smile!!

2) Not a day goes by that he doesn't tell me how beautiful I am to him (even when I'm sick and look absolutely disgusting!!)

3) Trys hard to be a better person and prays like Heavenly Father is right in the room with us.

4) Is always worried about others and trying to help everyone.

5) Plays and laughs and wrestles with our children

6) Brings flowers home just because

7) Doesn't get offended when he's insulted and still likes the people who insult him?

8) Surprises me still with little gifts!!

9) Gives the best hugs and kisses (only for me)

10) Works hard and forgives me for not getting him a paintball gun for our Anniversary

11) Is still a hottie to me even after 11 years and 5 children.
